The traditional Stations of the Cross invite Christians to contemplate the sufferings of Jesus during the process of his crucifixion. This Stations of the Cross invites viewers to meditate on the sufferings of human beings in the current incarnation of the United States penitentiary system. Using linocuts depicting aerial views of fourteen sites of incarceration, the project highlights an aspect of suffering under this system at each station. The sufferings of people, in the image of God, are the sufferings of Christ. This project was completed as a Lenten reflection in 2013.
